Enviromesh

Crops may be covered all the year round from planting right up to harvest. Lay flat over the bed allowing enough slack for the growth of the crop, bury the edges or secure with Tri-Pegs ensuring there are no gaps. The high level of ventilation, compared to ‘Fleece’ covers, reduces the risk of high temperature and humidity which can encourage diseases and weed growth. Also it is much less vulnerable to being blown away in strong winds. Enviromesh will also provide protection against birds (including pigeons), rabbits and domestic pets and snails. Some protection against slugs is also given.

Enviromesh is a fine mesh netting,woven from U.V. stabilised polythene. The mesh size is 1.35mm.The weight is around 55g/m2, light passage 90% and air passage 75%. The material is very durable. In tests, it showed no deterioration after continuous exposure for a period of 60 months. In practice Enviromesh has lasted a period of more than 10 years.
