Enviromesh is a premium garden crop netting launched onto the UK market 20 years ago as a new method of crop protection. It was a novel approach to pest control on vegetables, providing an alternative to the use of pesticides.
It has however proved more than an alternative to pesticides. It has shown to have a number of advantages.
BEWARE OF IMITATIONS
Cheap imitation Enviromesh is available from other retailers claiming to be identical to genuine Enviromesh, but are not. Our concern is that poor results with imitations may adversely affect the reputation of Enviromesh and so we urge you to look into the detremental effects these can have on your crops.
The qualities which may suffer are weight, air movement, light transmission and durability. While most of these qualities are apparent by inspection of the weave, this is not possible with durability which is dependent on the quality of the thread.
